Lathing Division

The turning division was established since the establishment of the higher Industrial Institute in 1961 , which is considered the basic nucleus for the establishment of the Technological University, and it is one of the important training divisions that make up the training center and the current laboratory. The division, with its staff and training cadres, aims to train students in all engineering and scientific departments at the Technological University to contribute to the scientific career with practical experiences and skills that contribute to building an engineer with an engineering sense capable of developing his skills in the field of mechanical work, which includes traditional and programmed turning and milling operations, as well as surface and axial grinding, scraping operations and other other operations. This Department receives all students of the first stage (for engineering and scientific departments) at the Technological University in addition to students of the second stage of the Departments of production engineering and Metallurgy, machine and equipment engineering and students of the third stage of the Department of production engineering and Metallurgy . This division also contributes to the completion of graduate students ‘ projects, as well as Project students for the classes completed from the initial study and the research of university professors.this division also conducts continuing education courses in various fields of mechanical operation.
